For those who can pay more into their pension, Harte commented: "Paying into a pension scheme is also a great way to save on tax as you get tax relief on any contributions you make.
"If you are able to contribute to your workplace pension via salary sacrifice, you and your employer will also pay lower National Insurance contributions.”
