'Increases in CGT will not help promote growth in the UK'

If the government is serious about economic growth, then it should strive for the UK to be an attractive place to start and scale technology companies. Being pro-tech today is being pro-business tomorrow.

Deterring entrepreneurs and the investors that fund them to scale and succeed would be a step backwards for UK tech and the UK economy as a whole.

Policymakers must keep that in mind in the undoubtedly difficult fiscal decision-making to come.
