With the eurozone looking set to build on the positive economic momentum of the final three months of 2014, investors should consider a risk-on approach to the region. What is more, equity markets no longer look as attractive as before, making active selection crucial. Cyclical stocks, particularly the consumer discretionary sector, are one way to play the expected increase in domestic demand. Unfortunately, politically driven volatility seems a near certainty throughout 2015.
